A Live Game

A Live Game / Alive Game / A Life Game is a truly new and exuberating concept of on-location public entertainment.

Up to date we have not heard of anything like it.

How & where?

The concept was originally intended to be fulfilled in Almere, one of The Netherlands’ so called New Towns. To some degree I was inspired by the surrealistic presence of Muzinq, a BLOB-building in the new city center of Almere.

Intended to be a pop music center, the building stood empty, not meeting the requirements for that purpose. So I thought it might fit into my ideas for a perfect AliveGame location.

(See the picture above: the Muzinq Theatre in Almere.)

Why?

There is no ‘why’. It just came about, as I had walked down across the Almere City boulevard, and around that frantic building, with my then girlfriend on a dull Sunday afternoon in 2006. As we sat down afterwards in a nearby café, the idea came to my mind. That’s all.

Since then, one year later I left Almere – and consequently my girlfriend also – for The Hague, my town of birth. You see, I just can’t stand living in a New Town, specially not that one Almere.

So, the Muzinq building – though slighty having been inspirational – is of no importance any longer. Ever since, the concept for the Alive Game has been disattached from its original trigger. It may be realized anywhere, anyplace, anytime.

My Gosh. What is this?

Alive Game is not just an ordinary game. Nor is it a mere public attraction, like a fantasy park. It’s much, much more than that. It’s all that not anyone has thought of before.

A few FAQ’s

* Is it like a roller coaster?

- Yes, it is. And it’s much more than that.

* Is it like a sea diving experience? Or like parasailing, or like bunjee jumping? Or like crashing with a racing car? Or like walking through a fire?

- If you wish, yes. But it delivers more. Much more.

* Is it like Disneyland maybe? Something like that?

- No! It’s far better than that. Disney is ‘old school’, - prefabricated fantasy. We beat Disney. By triggering your own fantasy, out of your heart and your mind.

* Is it in 3D?

- No. It’s not in old fashioned 3D. It comes in multiple dimensions. More dimensions than you’ve ever thought of.

* OK, but I am a dedicated gamer with a lot of experience. And I love the thrill of fear. Can you guarantee me to encounter new fears?

- Son, during participating Alive Game you will regret ever having asked this question.

What’s the difference?

To date the Alive Game concept differs fundamentally from any adventural entertainment enterprise as we know of.

As far as we know all of the existing attraction and recreational business concepts may be considered totally or at least partially as being one-sided, e.g. being aimed as to pleasure and/or educate the visitors. The event generator performs as the ‘sender’ only; the public (‘visitors’) can only participate as passive ‘sheep’, being led or ‘entertained’.

In my opinion, this is a dead end street.

So, it’s time for something real new.

What’s new about A Live Game?

Well, there’s al lot here to tell.

First. A Live Game surpasses any other existing project with regard to animation, entertainment or education, in that it’s fully and totally ‘personal’. Which means that whoever takes part in the game, will experience a genuine unique ride, as no one else will have.

Second. A Live Game is truly interactive, at a level as never seen before. Stepping in will deliver experiences resembling ‘real life’, in a way you’d never had expected.

Third. A Live Game is not just intended as a pleasure game. It is more – and maybe most – like a challenge, to yourself. You might well be apt to leave the show, in fear of collapse. But it’s the thrill of new possibilities that will keep you in action.

Fourth. A Live Game is coming in grades, or levels. Which means it is not a one time expercience. One who has played the game once, will want to go for the next level. It is addictive, in a friendly way.

Fifth. A Live Game is a game with an underlying purpose and aim, which is about sustainability and humaine ethics. Participants are invited to overcome their daily troubles and hardships and to perceive a beter future, for themselves and their kins.

Sixth. A Live Game is, as its utmost, a 100% motivational and transformational tool for people who love life and want to get the most out of it.
